VERNIER CALIPER

Alat ukur ini juga sering digunakan dalam bidang mesin bubut dan otomotif. Berbeda dengan micrometer, Vernier Caliper atau Jangka Sorong dapat digunakan untuk mengukur ketebalan benda, celah atau lubang dan juga kedalaman atau ketinggian.

Alat ini terdapat dua model yaitu manual dan digital. Pada model manual, hasil pengukuran dilihat pada Skala-skala yang ada pada Skala Utama dan Skala Geser yang segaris. Dalam hal ini sangat dibutuhkan ketelitian. Sedangkan pada model digital, hasil pengukurannya langsung dapat dilihat dalam bentuk Angka.
